Olasinmi has always played her own politics, independent of her husband. She is very loyal to the former Ondo Governor under whose administration she served as a commissioner.
She formerly belonged to Labour Party with Mimiko, even while her husband who runs a popular church in Lagos has always been a member of the APC.
We scooped that Cardinal Odunmbaku has always given his wife, whose father (Professor Akindele) is a prominent figure in Akoko, a free hand to play her own politics.
