Its 100 days since the sudden passing of popular event planner and wife of the founder and pastor of Trinity House Church, Ibidun Itua-Ighodalo, but many, in whose hearts she matters a lot are still finding it difficult to finally embrace the fact that she is no more. To them, the former beauty queen and successful philanthropist lives forever in their hearts. Ibidunni died in the early hours of Sunday, June 14 this year after suffering a cardiac attack in her hotel room in Port Harcourt.
She died just before her 40th birthday which would have been on Sunday, July 19. Her body was laid to rest on Saturday, 20th June 2020. Tears and emotions flowed as Ibidunni was buried that afternoon at the Vaults and Gardens Cemetery, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Prayers were offered for the repose of her soul as well as for God’s protection for her husband, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, their two children Keke and Zenan, her mother, her siblings as well as her work and the foundation she left behind. Tributes poured from every corner of the world in her memory as well.
Today, one of the closest persons to her while alive, Mrs Bola Okolie, the boss of Bonix Drinks took to the social media to pay glowing tributes to the memory of late Ibidun once again. She wrote.. "It has been difficult coping with the reality of your sudden exit, but I have been taking inspiration from knowing that God has kept you in a place where no one can hurt your soul.
You left a big vacuum that is impossible to fill, but all the same, we can't question God. Today makes it 100 days since you left, Ibidunni mi, and as I have believed that God has taken you to rest, may your soul continue to enjoy peace. May God make death a resting point for you, my Angel. I will love and miss you forever. Rest on Ibidunni".
