Popular Lagos nightlife businessman, Temidayo Lucky Kafaru, widely called Lascatter and 24-year-old Diana Faith Logico @yankee_logico got married at a lavish wedding in Lagos on August 31, 2019. Their wedding was the talk of town then as it had a lot of popular celebrities in attendance. But the joy of the matrimony solemnized on that date only lasted a few months as under one year, the love between them has crumbled and the centre of their union can no longer hold.
After months of separation, the story of the crash of their marriage became public last week, after Diana and her mum came out with damming allegations against her estranged husband. She called on the Lagos State Government, Inspector General of Police (IGP), and other relevant authorities to investigate him. She alleged that her estranged husband, raped their maid who is a minor; and even reported the case to the Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) at Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. Temidayo was invited, but didn't appear at the DSVRT office, according to reports.
In an obvious case of love-gone-sour; she also alleged that there have been constant threats to her life and that of her mum from her estranged hubby, also alleging that he has refused to make himself available for investigation on allegations against him."
But what could have gone wrong with a fresh marriage that was blessed with a baby boy just five months after being consummated? The couple welcomed their child in January and the whole world rejoiced with them. But, according to those who know much about what transpired, the couple started having issues not long after the arrival of their bundle of joy. Sources told CityScoop that Temidayo's business was hit by a downturn which indirectly hit the running of their family and upscale lifestyle too. The problem hit a climax when the young wife of the nightlife business operator (who had a stake inside Rumours nightclub, on Akin Adesola Street, VI, Lagos) decided to go her own way.
Temidayo is a quiet guy who keeps much of his life private. So, many didn't even know his wedding with Diana was having issues until she made it public last week. However, he has come out over the weekend to defend himself with a public statement over the weekend.
In the statement, he revealed his pains over the matter, professed his eternal love for his son, who he believes will read the story one day in the future. He described the allegations by Diana and her mum as false, while disclosing that he had already filed a fundamental rights suit dated July 3, 2020 before a Lagos High Court, asking that the court stops the police from arresting him.
