Mrs Aderonke Oluwatoyin Fawole, is the creative mind behind Jaderon Aso Oke located on Lagos Island. She is arguably the new, most-sought after brand among rich Yoruba Obas, society bigwigs and celebrities. For a couple of years now, she has been the stylist of Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, (the Onikate of Ikate-Elegushi) and his wife. She is the creator of the monarch's breath-taking, royal attires. Jaderon is behind most of the elegant styles rocked by the wife of the monarch, Queen Aramide Sekinat who is a trends-setter for many other Queens when it comes to fashion and style. She offers same services to other prominent Yoruba traditional rulers and high-profile people, including the new Oniru of Iruland, Oba Gbolahan Lawal and his wife Queen Mariam, the Oba of Epe, Lagos Head of Service, Hakeem Muri Okunola.
Aso Oke, the popular yoruba traditional, hand-made fabric has never gone out of fashion. It's been there for centuries. And year in, year out; weavers have been introducing new, fashionable patterns and designs (of Aso Oke) in tune with latest trends.
Aso Oke has become so relevant, remaining the choice of Yoruba leaders, elites and other socially-inclined personality who make different designs and styles with it.

In Yoruba land, Aso Oke is the official attire of the royal fathers. Their fashionable wives also have different styles of rocking the traditional Yoruba fabric, to the extent that women from other tribes have fallen in love with it.
This trend makes it obvious that Aso Oke has come to stay. That is why today, you see different designs of beautifully-crafted aso oke at weddings, burials, naming and more. In Lagos, there are different designers with big names in the aso oke business. And Ronke Fawole ranks high among them.
Jaderon's excellence on the job made it one of the most-sought-after brand by most Obas, and and high-placed personalities. Meanwhile, her brand also caters to the fashion needs of every class of customers.
For Aderonke, dealing Aso Oke is a family business. She took over from her mother, who interestingly, also took over from her mum (Aderonke's grandmother). So, that makes it three generations in the business.
Ronke graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University, where she studied Industrial and Labour Relations. She joined her mother in the business immediately after.
Talking with CityScoop about her journey in the world fashion and style, she said.. "I knew I would join my mum in the business, so I didn't bother to look for a job (after finishing university). I have never searched for white collar job or worked for someone else. And since then, I have been adding my own creativity to the business, which has really helped me". Before I started styling Obas, I have worked with a good number of brides, their parents, families and more. Infact, let me say I have lost count".
Jaderon is an household name among many popular families. But she didn't achieve all the success attributed to her brand all of a sudden. It took her something much more than hardwork. Her creativity is a standout plus.
"Apart from making Aso Ebi and all, one of the key points of my creativity is making accessories with Aso oke. There is nothing I can't make with Aso Oke. At Jaderon, there is always something for everyone, irrespective of your style or class. We cater for everyone", the celebrity designer said.
