Reports said Akin-Olugbade died from Covid-19 complications at the age of 64. He has joined a growing list of prominent Nigerians who have lost their lives to the virus in recent weeks.
Those close to him claimed he started showing signs of covid 19 shortly after his wife, Ladunni returned from California, USA where she had been for a short while. A report said he was urged to go for treatment, but was said to have turned down going to an isolation centre, preferring to be treated at home. He passed on today.
