The first wife of Oba Fatai Aromire, whose wedding to a younger wife penultimate Sunday made headlines, is conspicuously missing from the Palace of the monarch in Lagos, CityScoop sources have hinted. The older Olori, we scooped stood firmly against the decision by the traditional ruler who had always expressed his opinion against polygamy. A close source said that as at the time the wedding was holding on Sunday, January 31, she had moved out of the palace, staying adamant that she would not share the place with the new lady.

Well, as you read this, Olori Funmilayo the new woman in the life of Olojora of Ijora land is living the life of a queen in the palace since the rich and respected king performed the conjugal rights with her at a private, but colorful ceremony a fortnight ago. The queen and king didn't hide their admiration for each other at the event, they were in a lovey-dovey mood all day.

Since the surprise wedding, different gists have been circulating around town. Some said the young Olori was bequeath on the monarch in line with custom and tradition. But those who know much about their romance confirmed that that actually was not the case and neither were they match-made as some even rumoured.

But they later gave up and supported their daughter as she also insisted on accepting the king's marriage offer. Kabiesi, according to our source, was not going to look back on taking the new wife as he had already told those close him that the gods have revealed to him several times to do so because the new wife will bring blessing to Ijora kingdom.
