Obasanjo To Speak At Oke Ogun Youth Agric Summit

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo will deliver a keynote address at the Oke Ogun Youth Agric Summit scheduled to hold on the 5th of August, 2021 at Iseyin Town Hall, Iseyin in Oke Ogun area of Oyo State.
A statement signed by the Coordinator of Oke Ogun Youth Association (the organizers of the summit), Bola Olalere said that the former President who is also the Special Guest of Honor at the event will be speaking on the theme of the Summit: Agribusiness and The Prosperity on Our Land.

"Obasanjo, who is the founder of Obasanjo Farms, a pioneer agribusiness venture in the country believes that Nigeria can grow enough food to feed the nation, and will be sharing his wealth of experience with Oke Ogun youths who are leading an Agric revolution in the region", the statement said.

Other speakers expected at the summit include Otunba Bamidele Dada, a former Minister of Agriculture, Retired Brig. Gen Kunle Toogun, the Chairman, Oyo State Security Networks (Amotekun) who will be speaking on tackling the security challenges facing farmers these days, Alhaji Ahmed Raji (SAN), and Farmer Kola Adeniji, the Chairman of Niji Farms (the biggest grower of cassava in Africa).

OkeOgun Green Revolution is an initiative of Oke-Ogun Youths Association aiming at encouraging young people to engage in profitable and sustainable commercial agriculture by creating a platform that will generate networks that will make the work easier and interesting to them.

The summit is a platform to bring all the stakeholders in the business of agriculture together to discuss, network and jointly unearth the prosperity of Oke Ogun.
