Friends Loyal To JAMOND JEWELRY CEO's Former Bestie, BILLY Shun Her Classy 50th Birthday In Lagos

Last Friday 30th of July, popular London jewelry merchant, Saidat Ashabi Aralamo Aleeba (SAI) popularly known as Jamond Jewelry @jamod_jewelry had a talk of the town party in Lagos. It was her 50th birthday celebration and it was grand in all ramifications. Gists from the classy soiree, which had Fuji Music czar, K1 De Ultimate in attendance and on band stand, are still trending topics on the social circuit till now. The much-talked about party took place at White Stone Events Centre, on Billings Way, Oregun, Ikeja, with notable big names in showbiz and the social circles in attendance.

Prior to that day, people in some quarters had thought the party was being overrated because of the buzz it was generating as the date drew close and the fact that the celebrant is not based in Nigeria. The Jamond Jewelry boss actually clocked 50 on July 2^nd, but specifically picked July 30^th for the big celebration. The party eventually lived up to the hype as it was an evening of classy fun. The celebrant herself, on that day was all out in her best; you can't expect less from a jeweler. The pieces she rocked on her big day were specially crafted for her in Italy. She was at her best.

It was also not a surprise to see A-list guests in attendance at the party. Most of the guests flew in, in their hundreds, from the UK and across the world to celebrate SAI. Those who know SAI well said she had paid her dues. She has helped many and she is loved by many as well. This explains why many jostle to buy the expensive Aso ebi she picked for the occasion. SAI is blessed with many god-daughters who helped her dragged a lot Lagos socialites who added colour to the event with their presence.

Well, for that night SAI had a good one.

But one of the closest allies she has had over the years, was conspicuously absent at the event. Billy, another U.K-based society lady, was Jamond’s best friend, until the duo were torn-apart recently. Recall that CityScoop broke the story in January of how the once sweet relationship between Jamond and Billy had gone sour and that the two friends have parted ways. Billy, as reported then, had accused Jamond of having an affair with her husband, Abbey Germany. While Jamond has since kept mute about the allegations against her, Billy's caucus among their common friends had held unto their guns. They have been saying all sorts about Jamond, not hiding their concern and disappointment.

Apart from Billy’s husband, Abbey Germany (who is at the centre of the allegations) that was absent at the golden celebration of his wife’s former bestie, his best friend, popularly known as Omo Iyaelelubo was also absent.

Lara Adunwo of Ladiva Fabrics, who is known for attending many parties is a close ally of Billy. She was also absent at the party, for reasons that are obvious. Also, another popular society lady and MD of KD Stores and Bakery, Tope Malo and her god-daughter, Rofiat of Silkyways Fabrics were notable absentees at #SAIat50. Sources said their absence could not be anything less of deliberate and not unconnected with the Jamond and Billy cold fight.

 Meanwhile, Basirat Olusesi, another popular Lagos fabric merchant and socialite was at Jamond's party Basirat and Tope Malo are close allies; they mostly attend parties together. So, it was a natural surprise to see one without the other last Friday.

Those who are in the know say that the fight between Billy and Jamond is deeper than it seems and their friends have already chosen whose side to belong in the scenario.
