RCCG Lagos Area Pastor, Israel Adeigbe Pulls Out, Sets Up Own CAC Ministry

Pastor Israel Adeigbe, until few months back, has been known as one of the most popular Area Pastors at Pastor E.A Adeboye's Reedeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Lagos. He belongs to the generation of new influential men of God around. Those who may not recognize him at the first mention of his name probably would have been more familiar with the name he is widely called, 'God of all Flesh'. Before Pastor Israel Adeigbe became an Area Pastor, he had pastored several Redeem Churches around Abule Egba and across Ifako Ijaiye Local Government area of Lagos. After more than a decade down the line, and having become so famous with his weekly prayer programme 'God of All Flesh', Pastor Adeigbe has parted ways with the RCCG and has started up his own prayer ministry. And as reports have it, his exit (from RCCG) was not devoid of some underground drama.

The weekly prayer programme known as the "God of all Flesh" that Pastor Adeigbe is famed for holds every Tuesday in Abule Egba, Lagos. Thousands of faithfuls throng the venue of the programme that has now become a Mecca of sorts to them. The prayer centre is like a moutain to many people who believe the man of God is being used for them.

Before now, there had been several gists going round that Pastor Israel Adeigbe was going to pull out of Pastor Adeboye's ministry due to certain crucial private reasons. Sources revealed the RCCG had earlier turned down requests from him to take his exit from the church,but upon his insistence, he was let go.

Inside sources at RCCG revealed that some other pastors in the same province with Pastor Israel were not happy with how popular and influential he has grown. "He suffered envy, jealousy and unnecessary persecution from these group of people", the source revealed. Several allegations, according to a source, were made against him, upon which he had to answer some queries at a point.

Meanwhile, Pastor Israel Adeigbe is loved by virtually everyone he comes in contact with. A year after he dropped his resignation letter that it was not approved, he pressed further and this time, the head quarters had no choice than allow him leave.

Few weeks back, (in June), 'God of all Flesh' celebrated its 10 years of existence and the venue was his newly founded church, which he named His Mercy Apostolic Church. The church has become an instant success as most of the followers of the founder became immediate members, just as the multitude that have been attending his weekly prayer service since his days at RCCG.

Pastor Adeigbe's His Mercy  Apostolic Church operates a style of worship that is like that of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) mission with fervent prayers as focal point. This explains why many of his old members couldn't resist joining him at the new place.

We further gathered that Pastor Adeigbe's exit from RCCG and the circumstances surrounding it, does not go down well with the General Overseer, Pastor E.A Adeboye.
