WOMEN’S DAY 2022: Seasons Of Crisis Come To Necessitate A Change - By Dr. Kingya Malik El

As the World marks International Women’s Day its obvious that we all face a crisis in our lives no matter who we are. This pandemic, and wars, have been constant reminders of those tragedies. I lost my 35-year-old sister April Riley to stage four Pancreatic Cancer before the pandemic. Many of you have lost loved ones, and it does hurt for a while. Just breathe: Let’s explore self-care, dedicate this day to health and happiness.
Our faith teaches us those trials and tribulations cannot last. As you continue to learn the skills and habits that promote physical, mental and emotional well-being, your creative mind challenges you to overcome a season of crisis through faith. So, keep your head to the sky.

Leadership is developed in crisis. It’s not always easy changing your perspective, seeing it, or embracing what could be an amazing future. Crises are not permanent: they can either build your faith or break it. Especially, if you find yourself walking by sight instead of faith. I’m realizing something very critical while going through my transition with faith and life changes while helping others at the same time.

There is a season for everything under the sun – we can’t see the wind, but we can see the effects of it. Seasons guarantee change. It’s difficult walking through that journey because the pain will sometimes overcast and blind you. Change is part of life just like our thoughts both old and new, or positive and negative. In some cases, change is inevitable, constant, and challenging.

When you go through a crisis whether you embrace it or not, the outcome of what that looks like is dependent upon the person. It re prioritizes your life, and causes you to take a few steps backward to reflect, and just breathe.

New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings; the system has failed us, the economy, businesses, has failed, etc. In the middle of this storm, God is telling us to WAKE up and work through this pandemic because crisis builds solidarity and unity in the community.

It teaches us how to reconnect with hope and love. Crisis brings about spirituality. Get it done: ALIGN yourself with God, your purpose, teach other women, and girls how to succeed in life and relationships! This is how to overcome a season of crisis.

Seasons of crisis come to necessitate change. Quiet your mind while you inhale the future and exhale the past.

Just Breathe; No excuses! Get it done! Never give up on pursuing your dreams!
