The ex-beauty queen married her long time love, Ishaya Danjuma, son of billionaire General and former Nigeria’s defense minister, Theophilus Danjuma at a private wedding in Marakesh, Morocco in April 2017.
It only dawned on many that it is five years already after Agbani took to Instagram where she posted rare photos from their wedding and captioned it: “+5”. The international model hardly posts about her family. Agbani and Ishaya are enjoying a blissful marriage and their union is blessed with two boys already; the last coming in December 2020.
Agbani is best known as the first native African to win Miss World when she clinched the crown in 2001 at the age of 18 after she became the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria that same year.
A graduate of Psychology from New York University, helms her eponymous ready-to-wear denim and leisurewear fashion company, AD by Agbani Darego which she launched in 2010. Little is known of her husband, Ishaya except for his active involvement in his family (Danjuma) business.
