The elegant lady of fashion will be hosting the celebrities and big wigs from all walks of life this weekend to the opening. Already, those who have got the invitation are in high mood for the party having known the touch of class Rhemygold always add to her events.
The new Rhemygold Plaza is located at the old Akoka branch. While the construction of the edifice was on, many have wondered what the owners could be up to. It is that beautiful! How much blessed can a person be? Remi is now the owner of a building she once rented.
Talking to CityScoop about it, she said "it wasn't easy but I will say it was grace. I rented that place in 2014. It was just a single shop, I demolished it and built it to my taste. When the landlord saw how I made place, he asked me if I will rent the room behind it . Already the shop I first rented was small , so when the offer came I jumped on it so I could make the place bigger. I also renovated to at least looked liked what I have always wanted. Seeing that I'd spent so much money on the place, he started giving me problems, that he wants to sell the place. He brought in different people to check. The problem was so much that I had to take him to the mediation centre. He still insisted he wants to sell the place and I know he won't sell for me because he already assumed I was his enemy. So I had no choice than to call a family friend to help buy the place on my behalf and we later did a change of name".
"It wasn't easy because it was not what I planned. It was a very challenging time for me. These are the people that I had helped in so many ways. The man lured all his family members to become my enemies. God was really on my side. I had already set a target that I will build the place within a year and God help me achieved it. Here I am today.
Remi's success story is a model of inspiration for many ladies in business. The story of her doggedness, perseverance and penchant for standard is quite amazing. She started up way back with gold business during her University days. She is one lady with good eyes for exotic jewellery. So, when she later changed to clothing business, many who had known her were not surprised. She stands out with a fine taste of sourcing good clothes from all over the world. She started the business from Lagos Island, then to Akoka, and then Ikeja where she opened another branch. The last branch she opened is in Lekki.
