Recently-married actress, Mercy Aigbe Adeoti who proudly calls herself "Aya d Owner " (based on her union with movie marketer, Adekaz) was among the celeb guests invited for the event. Our source who witnessed it all said upon her (Mercy) arrival, Larrit was the one that started shading Mercy, using unprintable words, although she (Mercy) didn't respond initially. As Mercy walked in, the hypeman working with the DJ announced her presence and she was dancing in response. It was at that point, according to sources, that Larrit increased the tempo. Mercy eventually retaliated when she started mouthing bad words about her mum. She (Mercy) apparently didn't hear those words but someone who sat close called her attention to it. She responded by asking Lara are you talking to me? And Larrit answered Yes, Mercy I am talking to you! It was at that point that Larrit hurled a plastic bottle in front of her at Mercy. A little fracas occured and two almost attacked each physically, but those who were close to them didn't allow it happen, our source informed. When the fight started, Iyabo Ojo walked away from Larrit's seat, Mercy was taken away from the scene, while Larrit also moved away.
The unfortunate thing about yesterday's ugly incident is that the duo had a mutual friend in the organizer. They could have better have kept their verbal war on social media. Since Mercy married Adekaz, Larrit has been throwing several shades at her, condemning her for settling down with a married man. Some people who know her well however questioned why Larrit would fight someone for wedding a married man after she has been known for supporting other women who did similar things in the past like Miwa, the Kayamata seller and Emmanuella Ropo Marshal, whose wedding to K1 she attended.
Another source told CityScoop meanwhile, that there may be more to Larrit and Mercy's rift beyond her marriage with Adeoti. They used to be friends many years back, even long before Mercy started her fashion business, Magdiva. Apart from the fact that she used to buy from Larrit, they had a very cordial relationship. So what could have been the genesis of this sudden beef? Thats a big question on the lips of many.
It would be also recalled that actresses, Iyabo Ojo, Fathia Williams and Dayo Amusa were once very jolly friends with Larrit. This was the time Larrit was in hot romance with Fuji star, Pasuma. One thing led to the other and that romance hit the rocks. Larrit, then, accused these friends of hers Iyabo Ojo of being the ones behind her crashed relationship. After a while, they came together again and ended their rift. So, some believe that by the time they sort what they have between them out, Larrit Mercy too may just be seen ending their rift some day like that.
