Prominent Female Politician, Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson Passes On At 66

Breaking news have it that Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson, one of Nigeria’s foremost political amazons and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has passed on. The reports said she died this morning, although details of her death are still sketchy. CityScoop however gathered from trusted sources that she was battling with cancer. She has been scarce in public lately, particularly at her party activities. This, we scooped was because the cancer got worse and she had been taken in for consistent chemotherapy. 

During her lifetime, Nelson, also a prominent socialite was a renowned political figure and administrator. She achieved greatness.
Until her death, she is an Executive Director at the Nigerian Insurance Social Trust Fund (NSTIF). President Muhammadu Buhari appointed her into the office in 2019. She was once the Southwest Woman Leader of the APC and held the title of Yeyesewa of Lagos.
She was aged 66. Late Mrs Nelson celebrated her 65th birthday big in February last year. She is survived by husband and three children.
