BOLAJI KUKU, MKO's Daughter Many Don't Talk About Unveiled, Completes 10,000-bpd Modular Refinery In Edo

Her name is hardly seen in the media, neither is her face. But to those who know who she is, she is a big fish in the corporate world. She is not one of the popular children of the late MKO -apparently by choice, but she is one of the most-successful children of the late winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election. Mrs Bolaji Kuku is the Chairman of Duport Midstream Company Limited. She is a renowned entrepreneur with over 20 years experience in several industries including agro-allied, retail, FMCG and education sectors. She holds a Law degree from Leicester University in the UK and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1992. She started her law career in Nigeria, working at Chris Ogunbanjo & Co. She serves as Non-Executive Director to Management Transformation Limited and is the Chairman and owner of Oceandrive Foods Limited (owners of popular eateries in major cities in Nigeria).
Duport Midstream Company Limited (DMCL) is a leading energy company developing the first energy park in Nigeria, consisting of a 10,000 bpd modular refinery, 60million scf gas processing plant, 10million scf compressed natural gas (CNG) plant, 30,000 MT refined product terminal and a 20MW embedded power plant over 5 year period. The energy park is located in Otien, Edo state. The company just completed it's modular refinery in Egbokor, Orhionmwon local government area of Edo State, Nigeria and is about begin operations with 2,500bpd and eventually scale to it's goal of 10,000 bpd. Over 600 Nigerian undergraduates from the 6 geo-political zones will be paid N150,000 monthly to undergo internships there every year.
Bolaji is the daughter of the late MKO Abiola and Alhaja Simbiat Abiola, a direct younger sister of Kola Abiola. She is known to be married to Femi Kuku, the first son of late Ogbeni Oja of Ijebuland, Chief Adebayo Kuku, a onetime Vice Chairman of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited and the President of Nigerian Stock Exchange; who was a highly revered boardroom guru before his death at 84 in March 2015.
