REVEALED: Lagos Celeb Lady, US-based Former RCCG Pastor, Soun-elect, Others Who Invested N15b In Collapsed 21-Storey Building In Ikoyi

A former pastor of the RCCG in the US, (who left the church to set up his own church, Jesus House Baltimore), Pastor Adetola Odutola, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Wemimo Ogunde, Pastor Ghandi Olaoye (reported Soun of Ogbomoso-elect), a Lagos celebrity lady, Ms Zahra Motomori are some of the prominent Nigerians who already bought apartments in '360 Degree Towers' where a 21-storey building collapsed on 44BCD, Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, in November 2021. They are among 15 subscribers that have now filed a suit against the Lagos state government to stop it from taking over what is left of the project. The collapse of one of the three towers, known led to the death of no fewer than 46 persons, including its chief promoter. 
Other on the list include Mr Bola & Mrs Bunmi Odutola, Kwara Business School Limited, Mr Adewale and Mrs Folusho Folowosele (prominent chattered accountant and his wife), Mr Moses & Mrs Margaret Anibaba (the Regional Director, British Council, Sub-Saharan Africa and his wife), Dr. Oladipo & Mrs Adepeju Oluyomi, and Mr Tayo Oladapo, and a female oil magnate. They invested over N15 billion in the property that was being developed by Fourscore Heights Limited, a company promoted by Femi Osibona who also died in the tragedy. They are seeking to restrain the state government from taking over and demolishing the remaining two high-rise buildings.

The writ of summons, dated August 12, 2022, and marked Suit No LD/3962LM/22, was filed on behalf of 15 of the subscribers by A.U. Mustapha, a senior lawyer, before a Lagos state high court. Named as defendants are the governor of Lagos state, the attorney-general of Lagos, the state ministry of physical planning and urban development, the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) and Edge of Design Limited. The claimants are seeking general damages of N200,000,000 and another N50,000,000 as the cost of filing the suit.
