How The Fatgbems And Animashaun High-Class Wedding Rocked Lagos, As Society Bigwigs Honour The Families

Guests who on Thursday attended the big wedding soiree of Shamsideen Folajimi Gbemisola and Nimotalahi Folahan Animashaun - at the Federal Palace Hotel, VI, Lagos, are yet to get over the hangover (in literary terms). The grand wedding, which had all the trappings of class, is one of the biggest parties that have been hosted this new year. The groom Folajimi is one of the executive directors of the Fatgbems Petroleum owned by his late father, Alhaji Fatai Gbemisola while the bride, Folahan is a pastry chef. She is one of the daughters of one of Lagos prominent businessmen - Alhaji Jelil Animashaun (CEO of Al Hujaj Travel and Tours boss and his wife, Alhaja Fareeda Animashaun.

The couple's journey into matrimony commenced last week when they had a private Nikkai in Lagos - with only close family members and friends in attendance. They were joined together by popular Islamic cleric, Sheik Muheedeen Ajani Bello.

Thursday's classy engagement ceremony was not an 'all-comers' affair. It was a gathering of the creme de la creme of the society. The Alake of Egbaland, HRM, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo graced the occasion with his royal presence. The Balogun of Egbaland, Alhaji Atobatele who is a popular socialite was in the monarch's entourage to the event. HRM, Oba Gbolahan Lawal (the Oniru  of Iruland, Lagos) and his pretty wife, Olori Mariam Oniru, HRM, Saheed Ademola Elegushi and his wife Olori Sekinat Elegushi also added royal colours to the ceremony. The two elegant and stylish Oloria looked all glam in their outfits.

The Oloris were guests of Chief Mrs Folashade Okoya who is like an auntie to the bride. Other A-list guests - including Dr. Obafemi Hamzat (Lagos Deputy Governor), Engineer Mrs Noimot Oyedele (Deputy Governor of Ogun State), Mrs Adejoke Adefulire (SSA to President Muhammadu Buhari) and others stepped out for the Gbemisolas and Animashauns on their children's big day.

The grooms elder brother, Alhaji Jibola Kabir Gbemisola (Chairman/CEO of the Fatgbems Group) played the role of the father and other pivotal roles. He did this with their lovely mum, Alhaja Ramotalahi Olayinka Gbemisola - who has remained ageless over the years. He was also ably supported by his beautiful wife, Khadija Gbemisola - who had her own set of elegant guests at the party. Adedamola Gbemisola (another elder brother of the groom) and his pretty wife, Yetunde  also played key roles as perfect hosts at the wedding.

The Fatgbems family is so much loved by many.  People speak well about them and how they have been silent philanthropists. They have touched the lives of many people positively and they blessed with quite a long list of good, successful and supportive friends. This easily explains the large turnout of well-to dos at Fola and Fola's wedding. Jibola Bisiryu of Direct Constructions led  topnotch big boys to the party and Fuji music legend, K1 De Ultimate (on the bandstand) couldn't have enough of them as he performered till the wee hours of Friday.

The biggest names in the events industry were in charge at the talk-of-the-town wedding.
