How Prophet Michael Olowere Lived 100 Historic Years, Starting Off As An Artisan

Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere, the renowned deep preacher, teacher and gospel evangelist could have would have been 100 years old in the next two months. He fell just a few weeks shot of that as the highly revered prophet widely acclaimed to be anointed for signs and wonders passed on two days ago. Popularly known as Baba Olowere, he was one of the few living Christ Apostolic Church’s (CAC) most respected ministers of the gospel. He was seen by many  as a strange prophet, being one of the remaining few men anointed by the revered late CAC founder, Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola. His journey in the gospel ministry spanned over six decades. He spearheaded the planting of several churches within the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) mission, beginning with the CAC Oke-Imole, Agbowo, in 1978.
The late Baba Olowere was one one the few powerful men of God who chose the simple lifestyle despite their influence. There  was no single noise around him. He was easy going but unstoppable.

Till his last days on earth, a large number of people always  crave to see him for special prayers at the C.A.C Oke-Agbara Oluwatedo Ashi area in Ibadan, where many come from far and near to attend  “Automatic Prayer” a bi-weekly interdenominational programme he started in November 1995.

He did not have the opportunity of formal Education, yet he can read Yoruba Bible and write in Yoruba language. He worked in many parts of Oyo State, engaging in repairing scales for cocoa produce, and generally worked with any thing related to iron. He also learnt bricklaying.
Baba was a special prophet and great humanitarian. Between 1978 and 2015, he established 48 church assemblies in Ibadanland. He made financial contributions towards the mission works in other denominations and engaged in counseling of ministers from other churches through counseling. He promoted theological education through the establishment of Thy Will Theological Institute (1997) through which over 2000 ministers have been trained in the art of effective ministering. He emphasised gender equality in church ministry by engaging 18 prophetesses and 32 lady evangelists in active church ministry. In the health sector, he founded 13 mid-wifery centres in Ibadan between 1978 and 2015; and established three cura divina based healing centres in Kajola, Ashi, and Olodo - all in Ibadanland. Prophet Olowere’s ministry made the donation of a police post at Olodo in 2013, among many more philanthropic activities.
