She attended St. Anne's School, Ibadan,and the University of Ibadan, where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mass communication.
Ayo began her career in 1996 after she completed the national youth service and her first appearance on television was on Tunji Bamishigbin's popular soap opera, Palace.
She later joined the Yoruba-language sector of Nollywood, where she has featured in, produced and directed several flicks. She also appears in English-language movies.
Ayo also has a couple of awards to her credit.
