Popular actress and movie producer, Ayo Adesanya has hit the Golden Age of 50. The beautiful actress, who hails from Ijagun, Ijebu in Ogun State is marking her 50th birthday today.

K1 Loses 2nd Band Member In 2 Weeks As His Saxophonist, Joel Dies

These are sad times for the Kwam 1 Music Organisation as the band has been thrown into bereavement for a second time in 2 weeks.

The only saxophonist in the band, Joel has been confirmed dead in the early hours of today.

CityScoop sources hinted that the news has further left the Fuji Czar shattered as he is yet to recover from the shock of the other band member that died a couple of days ago. 

Recall that we reported 2 weeks ago that Joel suddenly fell into coma and unfortunately, he did not make it out alive.

Tinsel Actor, Victor Olaotan Still Bed-ridden 2yrs After Auto Crash; Seeks Funds To Go For Treatment Abroad

The veteran Nigerian veteran actor and lead character of the popular TV series, Tinsel, has been completely off the scene for the past two years after a ghastly accident cost him the use of his legs.

According to a Gofundme page created by Emmanuel Ajibade that went live last night, the actor is appealing for financial aid to seek medical treatment abroad. 

He was involved in a car crash in 2016 on the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway and was placed in a medically induced coma as he was treated for months. He has been facing the possibility of his two legs being amputated to save his life and his family has been treating him as best as they could in the last two years.

Right now he needs $50,000 to seek treatment abroad. The message on his Gofundme page reads; "Victor Toye Olaotan has brought Joy to teeming viewers on stage, Television and the big screen through his solid work as a professional actor. For the last two years he has been incapacitated following an accident. Victor is still fighting and he has been advised to seek medical attention outside our nigerian shores" we implore your help in raising the funds.

Singer, Nikki Laoye's 6yr Old Marriage To Manager Husband Has Reportedly Hit The Rocks

Gists making the rounds currently are that the 6year old marriage of popular singer, Nikky Laoye to her manager husband, Alex Oturu has crashed.

The pair  who have not been spotted together for a while now have been seen separately without their wedding bands, especially in recent pictures. This has sent tongues wagging about them, with those who are close to the once-happy couple hinting that they are no longer living as husband and wife.

Nike and Alex who got married at a big wedding in Lagos in December, 2011 and their 7th  wedding anniversary would been on December 11 this year.

Details of what led to their separation are still not clear yet, but it has been confirmed that they no longer live together and have both gone their separate ways due to irreconcilable differences.

Nikki had been full of praises on her husband in the past. She once confessed in an interview with CityPeople magazine that her marriage almost crashed at a point but thanks to her husband who also doubles as her manager.

This morning, popular yoruba actress, Lola Margret released new photos of herself on her Instagram page and it wasn't a usual occurrence. Reason is many of her friends, colleagues, fans and well wishers were so happy to see her back on social media because it would be the first time she would be doing so since her arrest, imprisonment and eventually deportation from the US. She also deleted all the old posts on her handle. 

The actress was arrested after a strong surveillance was placed on her  bank account. According to reports then, Lola had suspicous amounts of money wired into her bank account, which she constantly withdrew; thereby drawing the attention of detectives.

Earlier this year, there were reports again that the actress has since been released and deported back to Nigeria. It was mentioned then too that she had relocated from Lagos where she formerly resided.

Since her return to Nigeria, nothing has been heard about the actress. 

Meanwhile, contrary to gist that Lola has been in town long before now, a very close source revealed to CityScoop that she came in few weeks ago and she was taken straight to her house in osogbo.

After she was released and deported from the US prison, we scooped that they got an influential businessman a who ensured that she was taken away from the airport without the preying eyes of the public. She was not reated harshly like other deportees .

She got lucky and was whisked away from the airport and taken to her parents' home in Osogbo in Osun State. Grandfather Of Nigeria Comedy, Baba Sala Dies At 88

Chief Moses Adeyemo (MON) arguably the grandfather of Nigerian comedy, a phenomenal dramatist and accomplished actor popularly known as Baba Sala has passed on. 

His son Emmanuel Boisala Adejumo broke the news of Baba Sala’s passage on Facebook.

Born in 1936, Baba Sala, a Yoruba from Ijesha, popularized theater and television acting in Nigeria alongside other dramatists like Hubert Ogunde, Kola Ogunmola, Oyin Adejobi and Duro Ladipo.

He started his career in entertainment as a Highlife musician. As at 1964, he was leading a group known as the Federal Rhythm Dandies where he tutored and guided the jùjú music maestro King Sunny Adé who was his lead guitar player.

'Jim Iyke Is Not Owner Of Mr Taxi App' - Original Owners Denounce Actor

Owners of Mr Taxi App, an internet enabled transport scheme, have disowned a popular Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke, dismissing his claim of ownership of the company.

The firm’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Austin Nnaemeka disowned the actor in a news conference to mark the inauguration of the company in Awka, Anambra State on Friday night.

At the conference, Nnaemeka described the controversial actor as an impostor, noted that he had no contribution whatsoever in the setting up of the company.

Contrary to the claims of ownership of the company by the Nollywood star, Nnaemeka said Iyke was contracted as a brand ambassador of the company, though was relieved of his job after he started claiming ownership of the company.

He said, “Jim Iyke is my friend. I brought him in as a brand ambassador of the company, just like Rachael Okoli and other celebrities here. But he started asking questions that were out of his scope.

“He later started looking for a way to sway us into making him a shareholder, and then started parading himself as the owner of the company. He was warned once, and again, making it two times before we relieved him of his job.

“I am using the opportunity of this conference to state emphatically that Iyke is not the owner of Mr. Taxi. He has no contribution in the company. That is what I want to tell you today.”

Nnaemeka, who was accompanied by staff members of the company’s legal adviser and Chief Executive Officer, said the company was founded because of the need for swift mobility, which according to him, had been crippled by the ban on commercial motorcyclists in major towns of the south east.

He said the app can be downloaded for free into any smart phone and used to book taxis around the south east for ease of movement.

He also unveiled special features that makes Mr. Taxi different from other transport apps, including the SOS bottom, which he said could be used by a passenger to alert the company if he feels threatened by the driver of a taxi.

Sola Sobowale, Seun Ajayi, Elvis Poko Back To Thrill You In 'Hustle' Season 3

Hustle, the popular Nigerian comedy series, is set to return to TV screens for a third season on October 8 on DSTV Channel 153.

Hustle stars Seun Ajayi as the lead character and also features veteran Nollywood act Sola Sobowale.
