-Says I Will Keep Praying For Nana, But Will Not Support Him In 2020
Renowned businessman, HRH Oscar Yao Doe has given the biggest hint that anytime from now, he would be declaring his support for the opposition NDC in the coming 2020 election and beyond. HRH Doe has been a staunch supporter and financier of the NPP, particularly President Akufo-Addo, since 2007. He has been critical of the Akufo-Addo administration lately following the outcome of the banking scandal that rocked the country. He alleged some people of hijacking the process to persecute and victimize some top Ghanaian business owners.
In a post on social media this evening, HRH Oscar hinted that he would be announcing his formal decision in early 2020. He is from Dabala, a stronghold of the NDC in the Volta Region.
He said he has no regrets for his support for Nana Akufo-Addo over these years, and that his new decision is informed by principle for the future and not just the coming Election 2020. Read his post below...
Breaking News: My Hometown, Dabala Is A 90% NDC Support Stronghold. I Am Gradually Leaning Towards The National Democratic Congress (NDC), Not Just Only For Election 2020, But (Based) On Principle For The Future. I Believe I Will Feel At Home When I Announce My Formal Decision (In) Early 2020.
I Have Supported Nana Akufo-Addo With (My) Heart And Soul, With Prayers And Massive Financial Support (In Millions Of Dollars), A Support I Gladly Gave Since 2007. I Have No Regret For Supporting Him. It Was The Right Thing To Do. I Am Proud To Have Done So Unconditionally. I Will Keep Praying For President Akufo-Addo And Ghana. But I Will Not Support Him In Election 2020.
I Hope When That Moment Comes, Every Ghanaian Will Respect That Decision Accordingly. God Bless Ghana.
