However, despite and in all of these, the preacher has never been legally found guilty of anything. His influence and personality, as well as followership, interestingly, have all been on an astronomical rise within this period too. Then, that means something strong might have been working so well for him.
So, whats working for Genesis? The straight answer is the man's burning passion. He is a typical example of a man fueled by an overwhelming push. This is apparent in his journey on the clergy job.
He is today regarded as founder of a model type of celestial church with some modern appeal to the public perception of the orthodox CCC.
The pattern of service, atmosphere and set up of the church and its premises, style and points of preaching pass of the feel of a typical modern city pentecostal church. With all these, Oladele had built a new set of modern, youthful, and upwardly mobile Celestial members of his church, numbering well over 10,000.
He is today a very big figure, whose teachings appeal to a multitude of young people, from different faiths in Nigeria and beyond. He is also a super philanthropist. His philanthropic activities are all out there to see.
At different fora, where he has shared the story of his life, one constant factor has always been that 'Genesis' made himself, and his passion has been to make other people make themselves too.
That is an obvious thrust of all he has been doing in about 2 decades, since he started his ministry. Just to think that he only got a piece of land to start his own place 20 years ago and seeing how far the prophet has come to hit massive relevance, would be a good topic to research on.
And having survived all the 'bitter war' waged against him by chronic critics who have exploited his private life, and released damning allegations against him at diffrent times, the story of 'Genesis' at just 45 is nothing short of amazing.
He has revealed some of his secrets, though. Speaking not long ago, he said "we have gone beyond archaic or myopic teaching of biblical literature. As Christians, we must be strategic and practical. Knowledge is power. I crave knowledge like breathing. God is One and Love is God. I preach peace and light. ”My global feat in the ministry was borne out of focus. My call and anointing is pure and as a prophet of this generation, I must dare to break protocols. The only thing constant in life is change. Our Lord Jesus Christ was a dynamic leader, he never performed the same miracle or preached stereotype texts.”
The quote above summarizes everything Genesis has been doing and easily reveals why he will always have issues with conformists and chronic critics. Meanwhile, he has also been winning the 'battle' because he had blinded his eyes to distraction. About this, he said “aside being born with lots of empathy embedded in me, I vowed never to see anyone suffer around me. The vision I was given is bigger than me and the last thing on my mind is a distraction".
