Suspend Utility Bills Charges To All Households For 90 Days, Pay 1000 Ghs To Each Public Sector Worker -HRH Oscar Doe Writes Open Letter To Prez

Desperate times call for desperate measures. This expression clearly represents the thoughts of renowned philanthropist and businessman, HRH Oscar Yao Doe in an emotional open letter to President Nana Akufo-Addo over the crunching effect which the current coronavirus pandemic is having on Ghanaians.

In his letter, he advised the president to, as a matter of urgency approve some stimulus packages for Ghanaians to cushion the adverse effects that the pandemic is having on the daily lives of his countrymen. He called for all utility bills (water and electricity) charges to all households to be suspended for the next 90 days, payment of 1000 Ghs to all public sector workers, payment of direct extra cash allowance to all frontline workers battling the pandemic, among other strong measures. These packages, according to him, will help in reducing the anxiety, panic and excessive stress Ghanaians are going through currently. Read the full letter below..

2. Suspend water bills charges for all households across Ghana for 90 Days, government should sponsor water tankers, accros Ghana to distribute water to the most vulnerable communities daily, or 3 times weekly.

3. Half all utility bills (water and electricity) to all businesses accros Ghana for 90 Days.

4. Issue 1000 Ghs cash, or direct transfer payment to all public sector workers across Ghana. Guarantee full salary payment to all public sector workers for 90 Days.

5. Inject direct financial support to all districts and municipal assemblies depending on their sizes across Ghana.

6. Provide direct extra cash allowance to all frontline workers battling the Coronavirus (Convid-19). Government should take care of medical bills, including feeding of any Ghanaian who has got the Virus.
