How Corporate Guru-Turned Society Matriarch, Chioma Madubuko Lost Her Battle Against Cancer At 68

Nigeria has lost a fine female corporate amazon and frontline society matriarch. Corporate lawyer, Mrs Chioma Madubuko died yesterday, June 1, 2020 after a prolong battle with cancer. Family members and her friends in the corporate and society circuits have been mourning the death of the well-loved woman.

Late Chioma Madubuko served as the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc. for 12 years, before resigning from the services of the Company four months ago due to ill-health. Our source informed that he cancer got worse about this time and she had to be taken into intensive care. Sadly, her last battle lasted only four months.

She studied Law at the University of lfe,Osun State (Now OAU). She finished at Law School in 1981.

Late Chioma Madubuko had worked with Leadbank as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, before she later became Head of Human Resources. She also headed the Debit Recovery and the Credit Risk Management department during her stay at the bank.

She moved from Leadbank to join Dangote lndustries Plc. The deceased was a woman well-loved and admired by many. She was a corporate titan with an enviable profile and a style icon during her lifetime.
