Where Is Ade Lexus? How Lagos Socialite Went Underground After Fake Murder Allegation Against His Friend Bobby Ibadan

For over 5 years now, nothing has been heard of a once-popular Lagos socialite and auto dealer, Victor Adelakun popularly known as Ade Lexus. His once-thriving business, ADVIC Autos, located on Agidimgbi road in Ikeja has also become a shadow of its former self, with sources who know much about him saying he has even abandoned the business. In his days back then, Ade Lexus was like a king among top car dealers in Ikeja; his car lot was one of the busiest. He moved around with police escorts and drove the very latest of automobiles. He was also visible at society parties. But these sights of him have long gone into a prolonged oblivion.

The last that was heard about Ade Lexus was in early 2015, after he failed to prove or show up in court following a kidnap and assassination attempt he leveled against his former friend, Ibadan-based businessman, Otunba Adebayo Orekoya, popularly called Bobby Ibadan. Since then, he had disappeared from the scene and nothing has been heard of him till now.

An Ikeja Magistrate Court in February 2015 ruled on the allegation made by Ade Lexus that his friend, Adebayo Orekoya attempted to abduct him. The accusation was pronounced as a character assassination attempt on the person of Bobby Ibadan, with a fine awarded against Ade Lexus.

Messy details of other improper actions also perpetuated by Ade Lexus, which led to the fake kidnap attempt by Ade Lexus were to later be revealed by his friend and some associates who used to be close to the former friends. One of such was that sometime back, Ade had gone to Ghana for some personal matters and throughout his stay, Bobby and his wife who both live in their home their had played good hosts to him. Trouble however started, when Ade secretly got the wife’s number and was sending love messages to her even after the woman expressed disapproval. She later told her hubby when Ade wouldn’t budge.

It was further gathered that on May 10, 2014, Bobby had planned to confront Ade in the presence of their friends at a club in Lagos and had sent an advance party to look out for him at the venue. After Ade could sense that the issue would be discussed in public and he would be brought to shame, so he raised alarm, alleging a phantom kidnap. He also allegedly paid some media guys to report the news in major papers the following day. The story went viral, where it was unruly reported that a heavy detachment of securitymen stormed his Ibadan residence to arrest him before he escaped through a bunker inside his house. All these were later found to be false.
Meanwhile, fate seems to have served both parties accordingly. While, Ade Lexus has gone underground since then, life has been treating Bobby very well. Sources said that Ade Lexus' business took a serious hit after the scenario in 2015, as many of his business partners who sent him cars from USA and Canada dissociated themselves from him.
Bobby and his Ghanaian wife were blessed with a set of twins and he held a big christening party for them in Ibadan. He and his wife also bagged chieftaincy titles his hometown, Ogere Remo, Ogun State. His business in Nigeria and Ghana have been doing well, and he is set open a first class hotel in Ibadan anytime from now. His wife also runs one of the biggest shops at the centre of Ibadan' commercial Hu, Dugbe.
