Gen. Muraina Takes The Reins As President Of Nigerian Institute Of Management

Retired Maj.-Gen. Abdullahi Muraina has assumed office as the 23rd President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered). His investiture held at a colourful event that took place on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at the MUSON Centre in Lagos. Dignitaries from all walks of life, including his family and friends, representatives of other professional, government and corporate bodies attended the ceremony.
The Ibadan, Oyo state-born retired army General, described by the institute as "a thoroughbred, seasoned and tested professional and military officer will run the affairs of the NIM for the next two years. 

Gen Muraina (rtd) was the erstwhile Deputy President of the institute.

The NIM is already bouyed for greater heights with Gen. Muraina's emergence as new President and Chairman of Council. The Institute had already expressed trust in his  pedigree, which is not in doubt, as the illustrious son of Ibadanland has "distinguished himself creditably in every assignment he has been saddled with".

Gen. Abdullahi Muraina is an alumnus of the both University of Lagos and the University of Ilorin.
He obtained a B.Sc. in accounting at UNILAG and Master of business administration at the University of Ilorin.

He had a distinguished career in the Nigerian Army and retired after 35 years of meritorious service as a Major General. He retired from the Nigerian Army in Sept. 2014 as Chief of Accounts and Budget.
