The Capital, who broke the report revealed that the club, famed for having a membership of reputable individuals, had to blind itself to Alakija's public status and wield the big stick against him after engaging in a physical exchange with another prominent member of the club.
The said member was said to have been ‘rude’ to Alakija, which drew his ire. He reportedly accosted him, stunned him with a blinding slap in. The man responded and also attacked Alakija, leaving an embarrassing scene that the club had to publicly frown at by slamming Alakija with an embarrassing suspension.
