Popular Socialite, Elias Soga Olowolekomoh Becomes King In Lagos

A popular businessman and socialite, Prince Olusoga Elias Odeyemi Olowolekomoh, the Fuwugbade of Odo Nla in Ikorodu, Lagos as kingmakers formally presented his name to the elders, youths and other indigenes at the Odo-Nla Townhall last Thursday. The Oba-elect is one of the biggest old-time fans of K1 De Ultimate.
The head of the selection committee, Otunba (Asiwaju) David Afolabi Ekiyoyo, AIWM, DCOI, (Omo Oba Meta Odo Nla) the Olotu (Head) of Odeyemi Ofiran Royal Family who led other members to the community, narrated to the crowd, how the committee arrived at the choice of Prince Olowolekomoh and the gathering unanimously accepted his candidature in merriment.

The Oba-elect, in his New Year message titled ‘Peace As Bedrock Of Development’, said no society can make any meaningful progress without peace. He could not hide his excitement about the restoration of the Obaship stool of Odo-Nla after decades, which he described as the “actualisation of the yearnings of our royal family and the entire indigenes of Odo-Nla kingdom. He also acknowledged the unique and special support of the Lagos State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs with particular reference to the entire staffs and office of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu whose approval and ratification, according to him cannot be overstated. 

Prince Olowolekomoh (Oyeneru Agbaku I) emerged the Oba-elect of Odo-Nla town in December among other five contestants. Six Princes, Kazeem Benson, Olusoji Daudu, Adesegun Ogunkoya, Ademoritan Adeyemi, Adewale Balogun from the Ogbodo and Raselu ruling houses contested for the royal crown.
