And this perfectly describes how big plans to confer the Chieftaincy title of Basofin of Yorubaland by the Alaafin on the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila next month have now crumbled due to the monarch's passage yesterday.

Invitations have already been sent out for the conferment of the Chieftaincy title of Aare Basofin of Yorubaland (Supreme Legislative Guide for the Yoruba race) on Gbajabiamila at the forecourt of the Alafin's palacein Oyo on Friday, May 27, 2022. All the plans that have been made towards the grand ceremony will now come to nothing as the Alaafin is no more.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi was billed to be the Royal father of the day with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Chairman of the day. Chief Commander, Ebenezer Obey and K1 De Ultimate have been booked to perform at the much-anticipated event.

The Chieftaincy conferment ceremony was planned as part of activities to mark Gbajabiamila's 60th birthday.
