Oba Saheed Elegushi of Ikate-Elegushi kingdom in Lagos State, has felicitated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast. He prayed that the 30-day period of piety would receive divine acceptance. The traditional ruler in his Sallah greetings on Monday, prayed that Allah accepts all acts of worship and supplications during the holy month.
While wishing Muslims a blessed and peaceful Eid-el-fitr celebrations, he admonished them not to forget the significance of Ramadan.
He urged them to carry on with its numerous lessons and virtues. He also enjoined all Nigerians, regardless of faith or tribe to continue to pray for the country and its leaders.
He also urged Nigerians to ensure the processes leading to the next general elections are peaceful. Oba Elegushi reiterated that the country must always come first, regardless of the people's political affiliation.
