Anxiety is reported to have enveloped the family and entire palace of the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, just four months into his reign. Reports said there is palpable fear over the state of health as Ibadan-based publication, papermacheonline mentioned palace sources as saying that arrangements are currently being made for the monarch to be flown abroad any moment from now. He is said to have been taken in and out of hospital at different occasions in the past weeks. The monarch, who will be 80 in October, was installed as the 42nd Olubadan on March 11, 2022, following the demise of his predecessor, Oba Saliu Adetunji -on January 2, 2022 at 93.
