It was however to a big shock to many as they woke up this morning to the news of the sudden passing of Alhaji Fatai Abayomi Animashaun, a prominent son from the popular Animashaun family of Lagos. 'Eje 7 Baba', as the late Alhaji Animashaun, who held the title of Borokini Adinni of Lagos, and many other titles, slumped and died while observing his Islamic prayers yesterday evening, sources told CityScoop.
The whole of Lagos was thrown into mourning this morning (Sunday) when the news of his death hit close friends and families. Many of them kept asking if he was ill. Sources however, disclosed that he was hale and hearty until the moment he slumped and before medical help could arrive, he was already dead.
The wife of the deceased, Alhaja Safiat Abike is a calm, pretty society woman. She is a very close friend to the wife of Olu Itori and Mrs Tope Adesina, wife of Chief Wale Adesina (Saranda). The three of them are usually in company of each of other.
The late Borokini of Lagos was buried today according to Islamic rites. His remains were laid at the Ebony Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi, in Lagos.

Billionaire industrialist, Alhaji Umar Saro, a Lagos based business mogul (From Ilorin, Kwara state) passed on this evening at a private hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos, according to reports.
Very quiet and unassuming, Alhaji Saro has friends in very high places. He was aged 81.
He left behind, a wife, Alhaja Atinuke Saro, who unlike her husband is a popular socialite and several children.
