WHILE IT LASTED.. Synopsis Of How Funke Akindele And JJCskillz's 6-years Marriage Became Irreparable

Fans of popular actress, Funke Akindele and her husband,  Abdulrasheed Bello popularly known as JJCskillz woke up to the shocking news that their celebrity marriage has packed up. JJCskillz let the cat out of the bag this morning in a social media post. He disclosed that they have both been living separately for the past three months, affirming that the last two years had been turbulent for both of them as a couple. Funke Akindele and JJC got married in London in May 2016. Funke was once married and JJCskillz already had three kids from three women. Here is a Synopsis of how their once hot flame of love fizzled out.

DECEMBER 2018: Funke and JJC welcomed a set of twins birthed in the United States. The children were kept away from the media with only their names revealed.

2021: Stories about troubles in their marriage started filtering into the media. Funke was once reported of alleging her hubby of financial recklessness. The both found a way around the rumours and patched it on. 

(EARLY) APRIL 2022: Mella, an ex-wife of JJC Skillz posted a picture of her estranged husband and his family. She splashed the picture of JJC Skillz, Funke and their twin boys, whom they had shielded away from public on her Instagram page and wrote “If you don’t want me to expose your family, don’t expose mine Funke and Abdul Bello.”

APRIL 15: Mella accused JJC Skillz of inflicting grievous bodily harm on their son after the young man went online to make some unfavorable claims about his current wife, Nollywood actress Funke AKINDELE. This came after Benito, Mella’ son took to his TikTok to accuse Funke Akindele-Bello of being a horrible person, who is not what she claims to be on social media, saying that it was horror living in their Amen Estate house for two years.

(Late) APRIL: JJCskillz moved out of their Amen Estate home in Lagos. Back in London, amidst rife reports that the marriage has hit the rocks, JJCskillz posted on social media. “The only rock that stays steady and the only institution I know that works is marriage. “London is cool but I’m missing home @funkejenifaakindele my love have loads of fun with the children. See you soon at home. Don’t let anyone spoil your vibes, Bellos forever #devilisaliar.” 

MAY 13: The estranged couple attended the AMVCA nominee party in Lagos separately, in separate cars and to worsen it, there was no picture of the couple together nor where they were spotted sitting together. 

MAY 14: Funke and JJC skills however shocked many as they not only arrived together but sat beside each other with cameras show them grinning at each other and enjoying each other’s company. When they got their first award for their movie Omo Ghetto, they stood up, held hands and walked to the stage to receive it together. Funke also dedicated her personal award to her husband and their twins.

JUNE 2022: JJCskillz announced his separation from Funke Akindele.
