Actress, Funke Akindele has been confirmed as the running mate to Lagos State Governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Olajide Adediran, popularly called Jandor for the coming 2023 election.Her nomination was officially announced this morning. In a sponsored broadcast this morning, Funke said she felt honoured to have been selected as Deputy-Governorship candidate by Adeniran and the PDP, expressing that she couldn't afford to reject the offer.
In her broadcast, Funke said she was aware of the fact her participation in politics would affect her acting career, which she has decided to put on hold for now.
